經常聽家長說，自己的英文不好，該怎樣教小朋友呢？音樂是世界性語言，何不嘗試利用音樂教小朋友英文？
• 歌詞填充法 -- 家長重覆唱小朋友熟悉的歌，如twinkle twinkle little star，唱的過程中突然停下讓小朋友唱出那個漏空了的字，如twinkle twinkle little ______
• 唱一些動作歌 (action songs) ，如 head and shoulders knees and toes、if you are happy and you know it，一邊做動作一邊唱歌，加強詞彙學習
• 唱finger play 的歌，如 the itsy bitsy spider、 five little peas (可到Youtube 找)，也可以同時訓練小朋友的手指小肌肉呢
• 家長可以嘗試自己改一些英文兒歌的歌詞，並在歌曲中重覆某句歌詞多次以加深小朋友的印象，例如和小朋友洗臉時，可以唱 This is the way we wash our face (原本歌曲︰This is the way we brush our teeth)
• 用節拍(chant)或旋律把生字唱出來以加強記憶，如ABC song (英文字母)、ten little Indians (數字)、days of the week song (星期幾)等
